Founded by Sacettin Akaydın, the company was a small enterprise mainly producing tents and tarpaulins, while the sons of Sacettin Bey, Rıfat and Suat Akaydın, started the growth of Akaydın Umbrella by producing in small workshops in Üsküdar.
Today, Akaydın Umbrella serves in Çekmeköy with its five storey workshop and showroom. In 2009, the company established the Suncool brand and continued its progress through branding.
